Desktop icons are used as a shortcut for programs which we used frequently. These icons are opened by clicking on it. Opening these icons through keyboard shortcuts should be more convenient.
There are no default shortcut keys for desktop icons but it can be defined manually.
To achieve this goal follow the following steps.
Step 1 :
Open properties of target icon to which you want to assign shortcut key.
Step 2 :
Type desired key in Shortcut key: text field.
Ctrl + Alt keys will be added by default.
Result :
Shortcut key will be assigned to the icon.
By pressing Ctrl + Alt + key (Which you entered in Shortcut key text field) simultaneously the program will be opened.
