Modify Partitions without Windows re-installation or using any extra software

Partitions are the most important part of any computer either you are using Windows or any other OS. Without partitions no OS can be installed on computer. Using partitions hard disk storage is divided into multiple parts.

After Windows installation some users need to resize partitions for which they use third party software which are mostly dangerous for computer.
In this tutorial I will show you how to modify partitions without using any extra software.

Create New Partition:

Step 1 :

Open Disk Management.

Step 2 :

Right click on free space and then click New Simple Volume.

Step 3 :

Enter required details including partition size in the dialog box.

Result :

Partition created successfully.

Note: There must be free space to create new partition.

Decrease Partition Size:

Step 1 :

Open Disk Management.

Step 2 :

Right click on desired partition and then click Shrink Volume.

Step 3 :

Enter desired partition size in the dialog box.

Result :

Partition size decreased successfully.

Note: There must be some empty space in partition to decrease partition size.

Increase Partition Size:

Step 1 :

Open Disk Management.

Step 2 :

Right click on desired partition and then click Extend Volume.

Step 3 :

Enter desired partition size in the dialog box.

Result :

Partition size increased successfully.

Note: There must be free space just after the desired partition.

Delete Partition:

Step 1 :

Open Disk Management.

Step 2 :

Right click on desired partition and then click Delete Volume.

Step 3 :

Proceed as directed.

Result :

Partition deleted successfully.
